Cheryl Martin

Cheryl Martin is Financial Service Sector Industry lead with Gartner Consulting, based in our EMEA Head Office in Egham U.K. she is also Gartner’s Consulting Global Inclusion and Diversity lead sitting on the Gartner’s Global board of Directors for Women@Gartner. Cheryl has more than 25 years of experience in IT, Technology and Cyber Security, and has worked across multiple areas in the Financial Services sector, giving her a broad depth of understanding of the evolving and dynamic industry. During her career, she has led on the development of numerous Technology, Risk and Cyber-Security strategies and has implemented complex transformation programmes in largescale risk and compliance for global institutions and has supported a number of UK FTSEs 50 organisations during cyber incidents, in addition to projects on Information Security, Data Security, Technology, Business Continuity, Data Privacy, Data Protection and Risk Transformation and has been seconded for Two years as Global Head of IT Risk for the World’s largest bank. She also led EY’s UK Women in Technology network- open to male and female employees, this network offered training and bootcamps demystifying the technology myth to over 3,000 employees focusing on technologies such as Robotics, Java, Python, SQL, Power BI. As network lead Cheryl was also regularly speaking and leading external Diversity and Inclusion engagements for which she won several awards including EY’S game changer award for 2019 in recognition of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and Women in Technology.
