I am Director of Technology, and Leadership team member at a world leading publisher for Chemistry and the membership organisation for the Chemistry Profession. I am responsible for strategy and delivery of technology across all aspects of the business, including academic and scientific publishing, membership services, education and professional accreditation, policy, communications and engagement.
I am also programme director for Digital Transformation, where we are modernising our systems and advancing a shift in our approaches across our whole organisation in the ways we design products and services, aiming to put our customers at the heart of what we do through a series of interventions in the data, infrastructure, product and content arenas.
I am a change agent: transformationally-focussed, collaborative, flexible, adaptive and effective. I have eight years experience as a member of executive leadership teams as CIO/CDIO and I have proven experience of working at board level within organisations with long histories, diverse stakeholders and complex governance arrangements.
My strengths lie in stakeholder relationships, strategy development and implementation, building and managing effective teams, change management and customer service provision. I have enjoyed working in both the private and public sectors having worked previously at the National Archives for 8 years on pan-government, multi-agency digital and data initiatives, and more recently at the Royal College of Art, the world’s #1 Art and Design institution for 5 years as Director of IT, Digital, Library and Technical Services.
